So I’m piecing together my packing list for the upcoming summer holiday. It will involve 3.5 weeks of summer and within those 3.5 weeks there will be 4 key activities to dress for.
- Sightseeing. Walking around islands, towns and cities unearthing the soul of the places we’ll be visiting
- Dining Out and a 50th Birthday. This is where the glam will need to come in.
- Lazing around on a boat and Beaching. To my mind this is the easiest part of the packing conundrum.
- Casual Lunches. Shorts, singlets, breezy dresses and skirts.
Today’s post is focused on Sightseeing Footwear. You see I like to walk. We are booked into several tours which will see us tramping about ancient streets learning about historical things and I need to be comfortable. This is not a job for the slide. I need an ankle strap and I most certainly can’t be doing a heel. I do however want them to look great even though dare I say it, I want support. Arch support…

So these are the shoes I’ve seen that fit my bill and might fit yours too. All look fabulous and also offer some degree of comfort as we like to be able to notch up some distances when adventuring. And then there’s practicality. I’m not ashamed to say it’s important to me!

Tomorrow we’ll take a look at glam sandals. Still flat but something for evenings or restaurant dining.
