Any day now (she says optimisticly) we Australians will be basking again in sunshine and able to shed layers for lighter layers and peep toe shoes.

Spring my friends is coming and I for one can’t wait. I’ve enjoyed this marvellously cold winter and even to some degree, all the rain, I’ve worn BOTH my trenches and every rain jacket, coat hoodie I own, plus I’ve been seriously challenged to find cool yet practical dog walking outfits in this weather. Silver linings people, silver linings.

HOWEVER, I am ready, and you may be too, for the warmer part of our year.

I’ve just launched a Spring promotion where I’m offering:

So. Spring. What are we thinking? Well I’m excited about a few things.

Layers: But Lighter,

So by this I mean, that we still may need more than one layer up top in spring, but we probably wont need the t-shirt, plus the shirt, plus the knit, plus the jacket. Instead we can go for the long sleeved t-shirt under the statement polo. Or a fabulous stripy shirt under a sleeveless vest!

A change in Shoe

The past few weeks I’ve been alternating between gumboots, Blundstones, trainers and slippers. All shoes have been functional and singleminded in their purpose. “Keep Sophie’s feet dry”, or “Keep Sophie’s feet warm.” Soon however, my shoes will be more about, “Show off Sophie’s hot new pedicure,” or “Let’s see if there’s any of that Euro tan left on her feet to get out.”

The Return Of the Cami

We’ve all seen the camis and lace nightie dresses on our feeds and I am very happy with this return. I hung onto one black lace cami dress from the early 2000s and it still fits (just). I also love the ACNE ones in store atm and they look fabulous over a pair of jeans, wide legged pants or on it’s own with trainers and a cardi.
