I think my favourite Miu Miu collection of all time was SS24, see this picture below of Troye Savan walking the runway. The perfect mix of sporty and preppy, this runway show was HEAVEN to me. It ticked all of my sartorial boxes. Blues with navy. Tick. Checks and stripe. Tick. Collared shirts and polos. Tick. Layers. Rolled sleeves a la Jenna at J Crew. Boyish casual. Tick, tick, Tick.

I tried on some of this collection (shorts, polos, trouser shorts and blazers) in Miu Miu Chadstone and it’s a look I loved.

I walked away with the navy polo shirt and the grey men’s style suit shorts. Both I’ve worn lots and I’m looking forward to slightly cooler weather when I can start layering the polo with preppy shirts underneath.
The worn leather loafers on Troye are one of my most favourite shoes from the past few seasons. I’ve long been a fan of the boat shoe, but this worn, soft as butter leather is just so exceptionally casual and preppy and nonchalant in its vibe, urgh heaven.
But this year’s recent FW 25 Miu Miu show was yet another revelation. It was part Severance chic, part 1950s office girl. But modern. Insouciant but not arrogant. I love it. To watch the show from start to finish is completely mesmerising. I’ve watched it 5 times already. Such a rich range of inspiration. Each model like a character from a movie or show you might have watched. The office girls, the glamorous women with coiffed 70s bouffants, the IT Helpdesk guy. Many were bespectacled, fur stoles and purses cast over crooked elbows, and knee high socks in sparkles colours and my favourite, office dull camel.
Wool felt cloche hats pulled down, silk negligé nightie dresses with flats or knee high boots, pointy boobs.
Miuccia is a genius.

Felt cloches, fur collars, specs. Intellectual cool.
